Mr. Johnie Addison Moore, age 93, of Chapel Hill, TN passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2026. Born in Williamson Co. TN, Johnie was a son of the late Robert Lee Moore and Melinda Bourbon Gordon Moore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Jackson Moore and a brother, Robert Lee, Jr.
He was a farmer and worked for many years for the Farmers Co-op. Above all things he enjoyed being with his family. He had a passion for all things outdoor such as hunting, fishing, gardening, his chickens and square dancing. He will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
Survived by his children; Jerry (Nancy) Moore of College Grove, TN; Jackie (Sarah Ann) Moore of College Grove, TN; Jo Ann (Mike) Spears of Chapel Hill, TN and Jimmy (Brenda) Moore of Lewisburg, TN; a brother, Walter (Rosie) Moore of Smyrna, TN; 2 sisters, Louise Bolden of Franklin, TN, Allean Stockhausen of Mt. Juliet, TN; sister-in-law, Myrtle Bruce of the Peytonsville Community of Williamson Co.; 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11AM – 1PM, Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be in the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home at 1PM. Burial will follow at the Moore Cemetery in the Holts Corner Community in Marshall County, TN. Pallbearers will be family members.
