Mr. Johnny Boyce, age 81, of Unionville, Tennessee, died Tuesday evening, January 16, 2018 at his home after an extended illness.

Mr. Boyce was born in Bedford County and was a son of the late John Marvin and Evelyn Rusher Boyce. He was a member of North Fork Baptist Church and was a life long farmer. In addition to his parents, Mr. Boyce was also preceded in death by sons, Roger Boyce and J.L. Boyce; great granddaughter, Maddie Reed; sister, Marie Cooper; brothers, Raymond Boyce and Albert Boyce.

Mr. Boyce is survived by his wife, Lynn Boyce, Unionville, TN; children, Randall (Dawn) Boyce, Shelbyville, TN, Becky (Bobby) Hughes, Unionville, TN, Kenny (Samantha) Thomas, Unionville, TN, Cole (Rebecca) Reed, Unionville, TN, Joey (Cristie) Thomas, Shelbyville, TN; sister, Helen Crowell, Unionville, TN; brothers, Donald Boyce, Unionville, TN, Bill Boyce, Murfreesboro, TN; 11 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; caregivers, Faye Follis, Bri “Lucy Mai” Callahan and Kenny Thomas.

Family members will receive friends on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Rob McKamey officiating. Burial will follow in Simpson Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County.

Josh Sanders, Colt Boyce, Justin Smotherman, Brendon Thomas, Tyler Thomas, Alex Reed, Kaleb Young, Ethan Moore, Mali Moore and Grady Smotherman will serve as active pallbearers. Lara Smotherman, Keri Beth Moore, Destiny Young, Taylor Thomas, Brenley Gibson, Gracie Smotherman, and Ashtyn Moore will serve as honorary pallbearers. .
