Kay McCord

Mrs. Kay McCord, age 73, of Chapel Hill, TN, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Lewisburg, TN, and was a daughter of the late Merrill Franklin McCord, Jr. and Louise Dennison McCord. Kay was of the Baptist faith and retired from Lewisburg Printing Company as a customer service specialist.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Jordan Crutcher, and a sister, Joyce Reed.

Kay absolutely loved fishing and spending as much time as possible on the water.  She enjoyed trips to the beach and relaxing.  She had a strong passion for playing BINGO. 

 Mrs. Kay is survived by her children, Sandy (April) Doggett of Chapel Hill, TN and Stephanie Lynn Braden of Lewisburg, TN; 4 grandchildren, Kasyn (Madison) Doggett, Justin Braden, Jerron Braden, Darrell J. Hudson; 4 great grandchildren, Finleigh Doggett, Kaiden Braden, Layne Crutcher, Nevaeh Davis; sisters, Sandra (Jimmy) Fryer of Springfield, TN, Peggy Underwood of Chapel Hill, TN, Mary Martin of Lewisburg, TN, Becky (Jimmy) Oliver of Chapel Hill, TN; brothers, Merrill F. (Carmen) McCord of LeHigh Acres, FL, and James (Brenda) McCord of Spring City, TN. 

Visitation with the family will be on Monday, April 8, 2024 from 3 PM until 5 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home.  The Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 5 PM on Monday, April 8, 2024 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Jamie Pratt officiating.
