Kenneth Newman

Mr. Kenneth Kirby Newman, age 70, of the Wheel Community of Bedford County, died Thursday, December 31, 2021 in Shelbyville, Tennessee.

Mr. Newman was born in Giles County, Tennessee and was a son of the late Melvin and Martha Ann Hill Newman. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Malcolm Newman and a sister, Hazel Newman. He was a construction contractor.

Mr. Newman is survived by his wife of 11 years, Peggy Newman; sons, Robert Newman, Lewisburg, TN, Walter Newman, Columbia, TN; sisters, Wanda George, Laura Perry, Louise Davis; brothers, Robert Newman, Ben Newman, Edward Newman, William Newman, Jimmy Newman, Larry Newman; eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Family members will receive friends on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery, 537 Mt. Lebanon Church Road, Shelbyville, TN 37160.
