Larry Grover Hightower

Mr. Larry Grover Hightower, age 75, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 in Murfreesboro, TN. He was a native of Berkshire, GA and was the son of the late Afton Hightower and Mary Frances Cadle Hightower. Larry was a member of World Outreach Church and retired from the automotive parts service at Gates. After retirement, he was a driver for automotive dealers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Hightower, and a grandson, Peyton Arnold. 

Mr. Larry loved sports and especially the Vanderbilt Commodores sports team! Larry had a passion for the outdoors as he enjoyed fishing, playing golf with friends, and he enjoyed cooking. He was a generous person who always wanted to help others.

Mr. Hightower is survived by his children, Travis (Becky) Hightower of Richford, VT, Heather (Tom) Arnold of Murfreesboro, TN; 6 grandchildren, Isaiah Arnold, Ava Arnold, Zoey Arnold, Grayson Arnold, Emily Arnold, and Devon (Mariah) Stoddard.

In accordance with Mr. Hightower’s wishes, he will be cremated and the family will have a Celebration of Life at the family home at a later time. Anyone wishing to attend may contact the family for the arrangements.
