Larry Ray "Dutch" Hongsermeier

Mr. Larry Ray “Dutch” Hongsermeier, age 84, of LaVergne, TN passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025 at his residence. He was a native of Centralia, IL and the son of the late Frederick Wilhelm Hongsermeier and Alma Stone Hongsermeier. Mr. Dutch was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in the Laws Hill Community. He was retired from CSX Railroad where he worked as a Conductor. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dutch was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Bond, and brothers, Richard, Donald, Howard, and Allen Dale Hongsermeier,

Mr. Dutch loved helping people. He never met a stranger and will be remembered as a friend to all! He had a true passion for his career of working on the railroad. In his spare time he enjoyed working outdoors and cutting trees with his chainsaw. He loved his church family and singings.

Mr. Dutch is survived by his loving children, Kimberly Ann Hongsermeier of LaVergne, TN, Dawn Elizabeth (Jimmy) Russo of Clearwater, FL, Felicia Rae Vinson of Goodlettsville, TN, Donald Brian (Lisa) Hongsermeier of Murfreesboro, TN, Jon Edward Hongsermeier (Corye) of Nashville, TN, Robert Ray (Darlene) Borre of Murfreesboro, TN, Amanda Earlene (Marcus) Hargrove of Murfreesboro, TN; 22 grandchildren, Joshua (JennJenn), Melinda, Caleb (Caroline), Nicholas, Joseph, Devin, Andrew, Michael, Taylor, Hannah, Addison, Jennifer (Darryl), Jessica, Rebecca (Nate), Matthew, Joshua, Caleb, Maddie, Mason, Drake (Anna), Olivia, Samuel; 22 beloved great grandchildren.

The family will have a Celebration of Life on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 1 PM at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, Mt. Lebanon Rd., Lewisburg, TN and inurnment will follow at a later date in Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery near the Laws Hill Community.
