Larry Dale Skinner, age 69, of Eagleville, TN, a beloved figure in the hearts of many, was born on September 13, 1955, to the late Thomas Jefferson and Frances Crutcher Skinner and raised in the Flat Creek/College Grove Community. A devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather, Larry passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, in Eagleville, TN, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and resilience.
With great pride, Larry dedicated 42 years of his life to the Nashville Machine Elevator Company, a career marked by hard work and dedication. After retirement, Larry's love for the outdoors and fishing helped him embark on a new chapter, creating and owning Blue Water Catfish Farm, where he could blend his passion for outdoor life with a meaningful pursuit. Larry graduated from College Grove High School in 1974, a foundation that equipped him with the strong work ethic he held dear throughout his life. This dedication rooted itself in his early responsibilities taking care of his sister and mother, instilling in him the values of compassion and commitment.
Larry's personality shone brightly through his unwavering dedication to his family. As a husband, he lovingly stood by his wife of 46 years, Debbie Skinner. Their bond exemplified a partnership built on love, support, and shared dreams. As a father, he was source of pride for his daughter, Stacey (Troy) Harp, and son, Brent (Laura) Skinner. Larry also found immeasurable joy in his role as a grandfather, affectionately known as G-Daddy by his grandchildren, Caroline Harp, Corbett Harp, Cam Harp, and Katie Grace Skinner. His love for them was profound, and he cherished every moment spent in their company. Larry is also survived by his loving sister, Rena Faye Skinner
Larry’s strong faith in Christ provided him with solace and strength. This faith developed later in his journey, guiding him through life's trials and ultimately his illness, making him a beacon of hope and perseverance for those around him.
