Lawrence Mitchell

Mr. Lawrence James “Buddy” Mitchell, age 77, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Friday evening, March 7, 2014. Mr. Mitchell was born in Hopewell, Florida and was a son of the late Milam Ellis and Lola Tanner Mitchell. He served in the United States Army and was a retired painter, sandblaster and carpenter. Mr. Mitchell was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mulberry, Florida. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Meriellis Brant.

Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife, Naomi Mitchell, Lewisburg, TN; sons, Doyce James Mitchell, Sr., George Ellis Mitchell and Eric Lee Mitchell, all of Lewisburg, TN; sisters, Helen (Don) Lamb, Bradenton, FL, Myrna Stringfellow, Tampa, FL, Judy (Joe) Duquette, Mulberry, FL, Auralee (Robert) Brownning, Mulberry, FL, Neva (Jimmy) Rollins, Lake City, FL, Cheryl (Ralph) Zizler, Lakeland, FL; grandchildren, Doyce James Mitchell, Jr., Lewisburg, TN, Heather Dawn Mitchell, Ohio, Trevor Haislip, Lewisburg, TN, Caleb Levi Mitchell, Kentucky, Joseph Mitchell, Shelbyville, TN; six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Jones officiating.
