Leatha Jean Stewart, age 69, of Chapel Hill, TN passed away peacefully on August30, 2026.

Born on Feb.9, 1957, Leigh was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and a beloved member of her family. She lived a life marked by quiet faith, gentle kindness and deep affection for those closest to her.

Leigh found joy in the simple meaningful things ; the company of her family, the companionship of her cats, the pages of a good book, and the color purple, which she especially loved. She was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church, and a child of God, whose trust in the Lord guided her days. She will be remembered for the warmth she brought to those around her and the peaceful presence she shared with her loved ones and the animals she cared for so tenderly.

Leigh is survived by her family, who will carry her memory in their hearts. *Romans 8:38-39.

Graveside services will be held at Swanson Cemetery on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her memory to Animal Rescue Assistance Team Tennessee in Lewisburg, TN. (931) 698-9991.
