Lonnie C. Trice

Mr. Lonnie C. Trice, age 89, of Knoxville, TN, passed away on Monday, September 08, 2025 in Knoxville, TN. He was a native of Marshall County, TN and the son of the late Fred Leon Trice and Mamie Sue Davis Trice. Mr. Trice was a member of the Church of Christ and served our country in the Air National Guard. He was retired from serving our state with the Tennessee Highway Patrol as a Trooper for over 22 years and later worked as a salesman selling automotive parts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Black Trice.

Mr. Lonnie was a good man. He loved Tennessee Volunteer football. He was active in church activities and enjoyed visits from friends, especially his fellow THP Troopers. Most of all, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, being involved with them in activities, and watching them grow.

Mr. Lonnie is survived by his children, Fred (Susan) Trice, Stephen Trice, Mary Ogan, Molly Cole, Joe (Wendy) Cole; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be from 10 AM – 11 AM on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Ring Cemetery in the Pottsville Community. The graveside service will be conducted at 11 AM on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Ring Cemetery. Interment will follow the service.
