Lorraine Rose D'Amato Lamb

Mrs. Lorraine Rose D’Amato Lamb, age 79, of Chapel Hill, TN died Thursday, August 14, 2025, surrounded by her children. She was the daughter of the late Peter D’Amato and Reina Giananti D’Amato. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Peter D’Amato, Jr.

Lorraine was a strong woman in her faith and body. She dedicated her life to being a “Jesus Freak” serving the Lord and others. She loved her family and was adored by them all. Lorraine taught Special Education for a total of 38 years, having retired three times due to her love of teaching. She also followed God’s call and served faithfully as a Lay Speaker ministering with grace, wisdom and an unwavering love of the Lord. She was not unfamiliar with the fight she fought with cancer, but never let it bring her down, being a pillar of strength, a source of encouragement and an example of Christ’s love. Lorraine’s laughter could fill a room, her kindness could lift a heavy heart and her words could guide the lost. She was her family’s rock and shoulder for anyone needing to lean. She wants everyone to know not to take PREMPRO for menopause, the cause of her cancer, and to always know “Where there is a will there’s a way!” and use “wisdom with love.”

Survived by her husband, Clyde Lamb of Chapel Hill; 3 daughters, Laurie Saitta, Holly D’Amato, and Scarlett (Tommy) Garner; 2 sons, Joe (Lisa) Saitta and James Tyler; a sister, Marie Capri; 10 grandchildren, Becky (Scott) Lehman, Joey Saitta, Ambur Gaines, Elijah (Abbey) Malone, Luke Lindsey, Jesse (Jazmine) Saitta, Isaac (Shala) Tyler, Saylor Garner, Emma Lee and Miles Garner; 4 great-grandchildren, Jordan and Chevelle Gaines, Ethan and Phoenix Driver.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 1PM, Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Haskins Chapel Assembly of God, 1004 Haskins Chapel Rd., Shelbyville, TN
