L. R. Edmonson

Mr. L.R. Edmonson, age 85, of Eagleville, Tennessee, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at his home in Eagleville.  Mr. Edmonson was born in Williamson County, TN and was a son of the late Annie Farris Maxwell Edmonson and Lem Richard Edmonson, Sr.  He retired in 1990 after 38 years of employment with the construction division of the State of Tennessee.  He was a member of Mt. Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Eagleville.

Mr. Edmonson is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Edmonson, Eagleville, TN; daughter, Patricia Ann (Matthew) Kehoe, Beaverton, OR; sons, Kenneth Alvin Edmonson, Murfreesboro, TN, Richard Eugene Edmonson, Rancho Palas Verdes, CA, Randy Allen (Stacey) Edmonson, Spring Hill, TN; sisters, Dorothy Ann Edmonson, Eagleville, TN, Mary Ruth Carpenter, Columbia, TN; grandchildren, Chris Edmonson, Murfreesboro, TN, Jacob Edmonson, and Jessica Edmonson, both of Eagleville, TN, Logan Edmonson, Spring Hill, TN; great grandchildren, Jaelynn Gardner, Mayfield, KY, Matthew Logan, Murfreesboro, TN.

Family members will receive friends on Friday, December 28, 2012 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2012 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Judy Sides officiating.  Burial will follow in Bennett Cemetery near Eagleville.
