Marion Jennette Sampson Doehner age 93, of Chapel Hill, TN, formerly of Halifax, Novia Scotia, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026 in McMinnville, TN. Marion was born April 6, 1933 to Albert P. Sampson and Dorothy F. Crowley Sampson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Lou Rumbaugh, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She was a member of the Catholic Church.

Marion enjoyed riding her bike. You could find her outdoors taking in the sunshine and sipping on a glass of fresh tea she had just made. Her love for the outdoors sparked her interest in seeing many different sights over her life. Having come from Canada, she enjoyed watching Hallmark and Lifetime movies and seeing the Canadian background scenes in the movies. She had a deep love for Canada, but eventually made Michigan and later Tennessee home. She will be remembered most for her enormous love of face creams and going shopping frequently to stay beautiful.

Marion is survived by a daughter, Jennette Tennyson of Chapel Hill, TN; a son, Kevin Charles Doehner of Michigan; 8 grandchildren, Jamie Simerly, Julie Slaughter, and Billie Jo Mitchell; 17 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren.

At the request of Marion, there will be no services and she ask that you choose to remember her for the fun and charismatic person she was.
