Mark Alan Armistead, age 57, of Shelbyville, TN, passed away on July 4, 2026, in Shelbyville, TN. Born on August 23, 1968, in Nashville, TN, he was the son of the late Larry Wayne Armistead and Paula Evon Legg Armistead Watkins. Mark is preceded in death by his son, Joseph Paul Armistead.

Mark was an avid Alabama Football fan. You could find him every Saturday watching and cheering on the Crimson Tide. Then after watching football, you could find him sitting around watching NASCAR. He enjoyed many different types of racing including the dirt track racing courses. When not watching TV, he was out fishing or working in the asphalt industry. Mark enjoyed being with his family and being outdoors. His love and compassion will be missed for many generations to come

Mark is survived by his wife of 8 years, Brande Armistead of Shelbyville, TN; 3 sons, Zachary Cole Armistead of Shelbyville, TN, Jaycob Alan Armistead of Shelbyville, TN, Michael Chase (Kylie) Armistead of Shelbyville, TN; 2 grandchildren, Finley Alan Husman-Armistead and Marceline Ann Armistead; sister, Laura Reyes of Chapel Hill, TN; 2 nephews, Lavory Wayne (Kayla) White, Thaddeus Accardo (Shannon) Reyes; 1 niece, Mina Evon Reyes; 4 great nephews also survive.

Visitation with the Armistead Family will be Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 11 AM until 1 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home at 1 PM with Bro. Eddie Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Crowell’s Chapel Cemetery in the Halls Mill Community of Bedford County, TN.

Pallbearers will be Michael Chase Armistead, Lavory Wayne White, Thaddeus Accardo Reyes, Tim Demombreum, Jonathan Brewer, and Eddie Dunaway.
