Marsha Faye Thayer, age 58, of Chapel Hill, TN, passed away on June 29, 2026, in Nashville, TN. Born on January 9, 1968, in Nashville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Harlis Eugene Garrett and Beulah Ailene Bohannon Garrett. Marsha is preceded in death by her sister, Janice Laney, and her brother, James Garrett.

Marsha enjoyed being around her family, especially her grandchildren. You could find them sharing a unique bond with each other. When not with her grandchildren, you could find her out thrift shopping or on the lake fishing with her husband. One of her many enjoyments in life was traveling and being present with family.

Marsha is survived by her husband of 12 years, Randy Thayer of Chapel Hill, TN; children, Mikeal Jock of Lewisburg, TN, Kellye Dugger of Chapel Hill, TN, and Kelsye (Kasey) Stocstill of Fayetteville, TN; 8 grandchildren, Aiden, Colton, Liam, Roland, Mila, Brayden, Morgen, and Meadow; and a sister, Mary (Allen) Campbell of Lewisburg, TN.

The visitation with the Thayer family will be Friday, July 3, 2026, from 9AM until 11AM at Lawrence Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow at 11AM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Pastor Eldon Gaston. The burial will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
