Maxine Mays
July 28, 1955 — February 3, 2017
Mrs. Lillian Maxine Hamler Mays, age 61, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, died Thursday, February 2, 2017 in Lewisburg, Tennessee. Mrs. Mays was born in Marshall County and was a daughter of the late James and Lydia Hamler. She was a member of West End Church of Christ in Chapel Hill and for several years, served as a caregiver to many elderly people in Marshall County. She was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Hamler Dalton.
Mrs. Mays is survived by her husband, John Mays, Chapel Hill, TN; four brothers, James Carl Hamler, John Thomas Hamler, William Taylor, Frank Taylor; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro Holman officiating.
