Michael Andrew Jarrell

Mr. Michael Andrew Jarrell, age 56, of the Rover Community in Bedford County, TN, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026. He was born in Shelbyville, TN to the late Enoch Ensley Jarrell, Sr. and Nancy Ann Sanders Jarrell, who survives. Michael worked as a manager for Ingram Books until his retirement to become a family caregiver. He was a member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald F. Jarrell and Kenneth W. Jarrell.

Michael had a strong passion for books. He loved to read literature and study his Bible. He enjoyed filling in at the pulpit and preaching at church. He was faith oriented and shared his love for God with his friends and family. Most of all, he loved his family and being involved in their activities.

Michael is survived by his mother, Nancy S. Jarrell of the Rover Community; two brothers, Enoch E. Jarrell, Jr. and his wife Christie of Smyrna, TN, James A. “Jimmy” Jarrell and his wife Mary Frances of the Cedar Grove Community; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 from 10 AM until 11 AM at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 11 AM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Sorrells officiating. Burial will follow in the Jarrell Cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
