Michael Valcarcel

Mr. Michael A. Valcarcel, age 67, of Chapel Hill, TN, died on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at his home.  Michael was a native of Brooklyn, NY, and a son of the late Anthony Valcercel and Rose Deperino Valcarcel.  He served our country in the National Guard and attended Wesley’s Chapel United Methodist Church.  After high school, Michael graduated from Nashville Tech in Nashville, TN.  He was a retired software engineer for Lochinvar, now AOS, in Lebanon, TN.  Michael was an avid drummer, played guitar, and was a member of several bands.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Shawn Hagan Valcarcel of Chapel Hill, TN; daughter, Siobhan Valcarcel Smith of Murfreesboro, TN; grandson, Xander Isaiah Smith; granddaughter, Lorelai Noelle Smith; mother, Rose Deperino Valcarcel; siblings, Dr. Dorothy Valcarcel Craig, Anthony Valcarcel, Jeanne Valcarcel Drone, Mary Valcarcel.

The family will have a Memorial Service at a later date.
