Nannie Orr

Mrs. Nannie Belle Jones Orr, age 100, of Lewisburg, Tennessee died Sunday morning, June 16, 2013 in Franklin, Tennessee.  Mrs. Orr was born in Bedford County and was a daughter of the late Harvey Ransom and Annie Maude Hoover Jones.  She was a homemaker and retired after many years as a nurse in the Marshall County area.  Mrs. Orr was a member of 7 ^th Avenue United Methodist Church of Lewisburg, TN.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thomas Orr, who died in 1960 and by a son, James H. “Jimmy” Orr.

Mrs. Orr is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Donald) Wood, Franklin, TN; son, Charles W. (Sandy) Orr, Oxford, AL; adopted son, Phillip (Faye) Simmons, Mt. Juliet, TN; sister, Katherine “Kat” Holton, Chapel Hill, TN; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren.

Family members will receive friends on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Chatman officiating.   Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery near Chapel Hill.
