Onice Edward "Ed" Weathers, Jr.

Mr. Onice Edward “Ed” Weathers, Jr., age 71, of Chapel Hill, TN, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025 in Franklin, TN. He was a native of Nashville, TN and was a son of the late Onice Edward Weathers, Sr. and Joyce Andrews Weathers. Ed was a member of Chapel Hill Church of Christ and worked for L & N Railroad, now CSX Railroad, for over 32 years where retired as the Union Officer of the Southeast. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Tommy Weathers and Mike Weathers, and sister, Susan Parsons. 

Mr. Ed has a passion for gardening, landscaping his lawn, and rocking in the swing on the front porch. He enjoyed working crossword puzzles and other puzzles. Most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and being involved with them.

Mr. Weathers is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mrs. Linda Weathers of Chapel Hill, TN; children, Freddie (Susan) Martin of Franklin, TN, Rachel Jennings of Chapel Hill, TN, Blair (Brian) Lawrence of Nashville, TN; 4 grandchildren, Malynn Martin, Braxton Brock, Madelyn Jennings, Vivian Lawrence; 1 brother, Steve (Janice) Weathers of Pleasant View, TN. 

Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 10 AM until 12 Noon at Chapel Hill Church of Christ.  The Celebration of Life will be conducted at 12 Noon on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the Chapel Hill Church of Christ, 4483 Nashville Hwy, Chapel Hill, TN 37034, with Bro. Isaac Bourne officiating.
