Peggy Joyce Yarbrough Youngblood age 82, of Shelbyville, Tennessee, passed away on March 30, 2026 in Tullahoma. She was born on June 4, 1943, in Bedford County, Tennessee to the late Harold Clay Yarbrough and Hazel Mai Sudberry Yarbrough. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Thomas Yarbrough, James Yarbrough, and Vicki Lambert.

Peggy was a very humble and loving woman. She was always shining her light and helping others. Her heart touched many over the years and she never met a stranger. Her favorite moments in life were spoiling her family and being present for them. While she was a fan of the outdoors, you could often find her gardening, being with her husband, and reading books. Peggy loved to sit on the porch and enjoy the beautiful sunshine. Later in life, she found great joy in going and being a part of her exercise classes.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ronnie Gene Youngblood of Shelbyville, TN; a daughter, Debbie Joyce (Carey) Smotherman of Murfreesboro, TN; a son, Michael Anthony (Vanessa) Youngblood of Shelbyville, TN; 17 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; siblings, Randy Yarbrough of the Rover Community, Anna Heflin of Shelbyville, TN, and Cheryl Neil of TX; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation with the Youngblood family will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 11AM until 1PM, at Lawrence Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place at 1PM on Thursday April 2, 2026, with Bro. Mike Youngblood officiating. Burial will follow at Simpson Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County.

Randy Yarbough, Jonathan Smotherman, Joshua Smotherman, Nic Youngblood, Bobby Warren, and Maddox Youngblood will serve as pallbearers.
