Reed Harris
June 27, 1951 — September 29, 2014
Mr. Reed Harris, age 63, of the Hopkins Bridge Community of Bedford County, died Monday, September 29, 2014. Mr. Harris was born in Bedford County and was a son of the late Bryant Reed and Nannie Martha Haskins Harris. He was a truck driver and dairy farmer. In addition to his parents, Reed was also preceded in death by a sister, Jean Harris and a brother, Jimmy Lee Harris.
Mr. Harris is survived by sisters, Betty Harris, Martha Ann Skinner and Elaine Swann, all of the Hopkins Bridge Community; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and one great great niece.
Family members will receive friends on Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2014 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Tedder officiating. Burial will follow in Clay Hill Cemetery.
