Mr. Richard W. Smith, age 70, of Unionville, Tennessee, died Tuesday, June 29, 2021 in Shelbyville, Tennessee.

Mr. Smith was born in Scott County, Tennessee and was a son of the late O.F. and Myrtle Mae Pack Smith. Following high school, he served his Country in the United States Army.

Mr. Smith was a lifelong dairy farmer and he, along with his family, owned and operated River Bend Dairy Farm in Unionville. He was a member of the Tennessee Holstein Association and was a member of Mt. Helen Baptist Church near Allardt, TN.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of 51 years, Priscilla Smith, Unionville, TN; sons, Terry (Amy) Smith, Unionville, TN, Lance (Jennifer) Smith, Chapel Hill, TN; sisters, Linda (Lee) Graves, Shelbyville, TN, Delilah (Randy) Clark, Jamestown, TN; three grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Sadie Smith and Grant Smith.

Family members will receive friends on Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 12:00 noon at Mt. Helen Cemetery near Allardt, TN with Rev. Vernon Smith and Rev. Charles Loyd Goad officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Helen Cemetery.

Randall Clark, Jack Graves, Donnie Smith, Chris Smith, Paul Ellis and Doug Burnsides will serve as pallbearers.
