Mr. Richard Eugene “Ricky” Howell, Jr. age 61, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, died Sunday, August 11, 2013 in Columbia, Tennessee. Mr. Howell was born in Davidson County and was a member of Holts Corner Baptist Church. He was employed with J & D Machine of Chapel Hill and formerly was employed with Inter-City Products of Lewisburg, until the plant closing into 2002. Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Richard Eugene “Doc” Howell, Sr. and by a sister, Patsy Naron.
Mr. Howell is survived by his wife, Diane Howell, Chapel Hill, TN; daughter, Renee (David) King, Bell Buckle, TN; mother, Edna Howell, Chapel Hill, TN; sister, Diana (Joe) Hill, Chapel Hill, TN; brother, Billy Howell, Chapel Hill, TN; grandchildren, Savannah and Weston King.
Family members will receive friends on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 am on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
