Russell Keith Hart

Mr. Russell Keith Hart, age 93, of Lewisburg, TN, died on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 in Lewisburg. He was a native of Michigan City, IN and a son of the late Johnathan Malcolm Hart and Tessie Naomi Bridwell Hart Dreibelis. Mr. Hart was a faithful member of Farmington Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years, Dorlene Winsett Hart, 2 sons, Charles Baxter Hart, II, James Malcolm Hart, grandson, Jeremy Keith Uselton, 3 brothers, Robert William Hart, Charles Quincy Hart, Johnathan Malcolm Hart, Jr.

Mr. Hart joined the Marines at age 18 and after serving 20 years he retired as a GySgt. Mr. Russell served in the Korean War as well as the Vietnam War. He served his country with pride and taught his children to do the same. Upon his retirement from the service, he moved his family back to Lewisburg, TN, where he joined the police force as a patrolman. Later he joined the police force at Petersburg, TN. He went on to work at Eaton Corporation, where he went from production work to supervisor. After several years there he retired to spend more time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. 

Mr. Russell loved hunting, fishing, reading, and could always be found tinkering with something around the house. Sharing stories of his military days was one of his favorite past times. Everyone enjoyed listening to him talk about his military life. His true passion was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Mr. hart is survived by his daughters, Regina (David) Erdly of Lewisburg, TN, Cindy (Mike) Barron of Lewisburg, TN; sister, Mary Dennis of Columbia, TN; grandchildren, Angela (Brian) Nunes of KS, Michele (Allen) Phillips of Lewisburg, TN, Janelle (Jacob) Dent of IL, Jason (Shelly) Erdly of Lewisburg, TN, Daniel (Lacey) Erdly of Murfreesboro, TN, Jamie (Amber) Barron of Lewisburg, TN, Jeanna (Ryan) Smith of KY, Wesley Hart Boyce of FL, Adam (Sarah) Francis of Memphis, TN, Jonathan Luna of Cornersville, TN, Jason Hart of FL, Justin (Sandra) Hart of FL, Shauna Hart of GA; 38 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and his caretaker of 6 years, Sharon Foster.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 12 PM until 2 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 2 PM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Leslie Shadrick officiating. Interment will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN.

Daniel Erdly, Jason Erdly, Jamie Barron, Ryan Smith, Zakk Fann, and Jayden Nunes will serve as pallbearers.
