Sammy Arnold Young

Mr. Sammy Arnold Young, age 69, of Chapel Hill, TN, died Thursday, Aug. 31 2023 following an extended illness. Born in Lapeer, MI, Sammy was a son of the late Harold Young and Elaine Herman Young. He was a retired Op Tech with General Motors. Sammy enjoyed bicycling, wood working, photography and loved the ocean. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Brian Young; 2 brothers, Glenn and Robert Young.

Survived by his wife of 49 years, Fay Young of Chapel Hill, TN; 3 daughters, Sandy Casteel of Columbia, TN, Jennifer Ortega of Shelbyville TN, Laura Adams of  Lewisburg, TN; a sister, Diane Hermann of Davison, MI; a brother, Larry Young of Frederic, MI; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023 at Lawrence Funeral Home from 2PM – 4PM. A Memorial Service will follow the visitation at 4PM.
