Stephen F. "Moses" Young

Mr. Stephen F. “Moses” Young, age 70, died Monday morning, November 22, 2021 at his home in Chapel Hill. Mr. Young was born in Bedford County and was a son of the late James Archie ”Frog” and Hazel Elizabeth Paul Young. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Young, and a great granddaughter, Alexandria Drury.

Steve retired after 43 years as a paramedic, having worked with emergency medical services in Marshall, Williamson, Bedford, Coffee and Giles Counties. Later, he worked for 8 more years as a dispatcher for the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.

Mr. Young is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cheri Young, Chapel Hill, TN; children, Stephen Patrick Young, Zanesville, Ohio, Tammi (Dave) Jenkins, Lawrenceburg, KY, Jonathan K. Young, Chapel Hill, TN, Jason Young, Columbia, TN; T. J. (Kasondra) Young, Lewisburg, TN, Andy Young, Chapel Hill, TN; sister, Debbie Dunn, Lewisburg, TN; brother, Mike Young, Lewisburg, TN, Jeff (Lisa) Young, Lewisburg, TN; grandchildren, Lydia Young, Campbell Young, Morgan (Russ) Drury, Jordan Hopewell, Taylor Young, Kyle Young, Parker Hill, Addison Young, Rebekah Young, Marlayna Young; five great grandchildren.

Family members will receive friends on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with funeral services following at 6:00 p.m.
