Mr. Steve Leverette age 70, of Chapel Hill, TN, passed away on February 13, 2026 in Chapel Hill, TN. Born on September 20, 1955, in Bedford County, TN, he was the son of the late John Lee Leverette and Geneva Wright Leverette. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Steve was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He grew up spending time with his children and enjoying those special moments and bonds they created. Steve enjoyed being outdoors and in nature as often as he could be. He took great joy in spending time with his grandchildren as well as spoiling them. Steve was a man who always made an impact on anyone he met and was always greeting you with a smile and his coffee. He was kind, gentle, and smart. He enjoyed hunting and smoking. Most of all, he adored being with his wife and spending time with her.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Sharon Leverette of Chapel Hill, TN; 3 children, Josh (Brianna Needham) Hamilton of Unionville, TN, Ashley Leverette (Jarred) Jones of Shelbyville, TN, and Cody (Lydia Moreno) Leverette of Shelbyville, TN; 1 grandchild, DJ Hamilton; a sister, Cathy Lee Evans of Murfreesboro, TN; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A visitation with the Leverette family will be Monday, February 16, 2026, from 11AM until 1PM. A funeral Service will take place at 1PM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Ron Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Simpson Cemetery.

Michael Wilson, Jarred Jones, Charlie Tindell, Brannon Lee, Cody Leverette, Brad Clanton, Josh Hamilton, and Brandi Morton will serve as pallbearers.
