Sue W. Edmonson McPherson

Mrs. Sue W. Edmonson McPherson, age 89, of Lewisburg, TN passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2026 in Columbia, TN. She was born in Williamson County, TN and was a daughter of the late John Otis Edmonson and Cleadie Connell Graham Edmonson. Mrs. Sue was retired as an IBM operator for Commerce Union Bank with 46 years of service. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and a graduate of Bethesda High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey McPherson, a daughter, Debbie Taylor, and a sister, Joann Edmonson McDonald.

Mrs. Sue found great joy in spending time outdoors and traveling. She saw the beauty of all fifty states including Hawaii and Alaska. She loved people and little animals and never met a stranger. Most of all, she loved her family and friends and spending time with them.Mrs. McPherson is survived by her son, Ronnie (Judy) Taylor of Nashville, TN; granddaughter, Brittany (Mike) Kelley; great grandchild, Taylor Kelley; sister, Barbara Graham Harris of Chapel Hill, TN; brother, Clinton Edmonson of Chapel Hill, TN; special friend, William T. Byrd as he was very thoughtful to her.

Visitation with the family will be on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 11 AM until 1 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 1 PM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Jim Taylor and Larry Guin officiating. Interment will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN.

Family & friends will serve as pallbearers. Kevin Edmonson, Andy Todd, Will Moorehead, and Bubba Alexander will serve as honorary pallbearers.
