Thomas "Bubba" Grady Martin, Jr.

Thomas Grady “Bubba” Martin, Jr. age 67, of the Laws Hill community of Marshall Co. died Sunday, November 2, 2025. Bubba was born February 5, 1958 in Nashville, TN. He was a son of the late Thomas Grady Martin, Sr. and Norma Gann Martin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 3 brothers, Steve, Joe and Tal.

Bubba was the former owner of the Laws Hill Market. Prior to that, he was a dedicated cattle farmer, a land surveyor and heavy equipment operator. Bubba had many interests among which were being a master hunter and fisherman, loved watching old Westerns, tinkering on project cars. He loved the outdoors and appreciated sharp knives and clean rifles. Bubba was indeed a simple man who loved southern rock and 90’s country radio. He emphasized a deep respect for nature, honor of family and dignity for neighbors. He was a kind and generous spirit who loved sitting on his front porch visiting with folks and always waved at everyone who passed by.

If you knew Bubba you would understand that he didn’t want a “fancy funeral”! He preferred to party. That is how we will remember him! In accordance with his wishes, the dust of his body will be committed to the earth at Hopper Cemetery.

Survived by 3 sisters, Angie Martin Burt, Alisa Martin and Julie Ezell; 3 brothers, Joshua, Jason and Justin Martin; and many nieces and nephews.
