Mr. Thomas Ernest King, age 92, of Unionville, TN, died Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Harton Regional Medical Center, Tullahoma. Mr. King was born in the Longview Community on September 9, 1925, to F Z King and Clatie E. Neal King. He attended Coopertown School. Over the years, Mr. King worked at Empire Pencil Company, Shelbyville Pure Milk Company, and owned and operated King Egg Company which delivered eggs all over Middle Tennessee. He was a Rural Mail Carrier for many years before he retired. Mr. King attended Enon Primitive Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Ruth Stephens King; brother, Garland King; and sisters, Nancy King Smotherman, Jean King Sudberry, and baby sister, Clatie Elizabeth King.
He is survived by his son, Thomas Larry (Linda) King, Unionville, TN; daughter, Brenda King Lambert, Shelbyville, TN; brother, F Z (Connie) King, Shelbyville, TN; grandchildren, Cindy King (Mark) Friedman, Stephen (Elysha) King, Annette Lambert (Tim) Compton, Lori Lambert Mallard, Dawn Lambert (Shane) Hobbs, and Shawn Lambert (Matt) Rueff; great grandchildren, Bronson (Izii) Friedman, Noah (Rachel) Friendman, Ashley Elayne King, Kaylie Renae King, John Thomas Dawson, Joseph Tyler (Tabitha) Dawson, Ariel Danielle Compton, Ella Faulkenberry (Ryan) Emberton, Carly Brieanne Norton, Morgan Danielle Rueff, Addison Jessie Rueff; and great great grandchildren, Oakley Elizabeth Dawson and Addalyn Brenae Darden; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Frances Arnold; and several nieces and nephews.
Family members will receive friends on Monday, December 4, 2017, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at 10:00 AM at Unionville Cemetery with Elder William Chester and Elder Millard Johnson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Enon Primitive Baptist Church in care of Brenda Lambert, 1401 Cherry St., Shelbyville, TN, 37160.
