Wilma Katherine Hill Haines, age 79, of Chapel Hill, TN, passed away August 26, 2026. Katherine was born December 5, 1946 to the late William Horace Hill Sr. and Ruby Katherine Mealer Hill. Katherine was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings James Wallace Hill and Horace Hill Jr.

Katherine loved her family dearly. She loved spending time with them and being active. You could find Katherine playing cards daily, especially the game Rook. When not playing cards, she was attending her grandchildren’s activities. Katherine was a Graduate of the Class of 1965 from Forrest High School. Katherine brought joy, peace, and comfort to her family and will be dearly missed.

Katherine is survived by her husband of 61 years, Wally Haines of Chapel Hill, TN; a daughter, Cindy (Todd) Warner of Chapel Hill, TN; a son, Rusty Haines of Lewisburg, TN; 5 grandchildren, Patrick (Sara) Warner, Kathleen Warner, Pryor (Caroline Lewis) Haines, Cason (Brooke Ann) Warner, and Jackson Haines; 4 great grandchildren, Jack, June, Charlie, and Cooper; sister in law, Teresa Hill of Chapel Hill, TN; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation with the Haines family will be Friday, August 28, 2026, from 10AM until 12PM. The Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home at 12PM. Burial will follow at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
