Betty Joyce Walls Daughrity

Mrs. Betty Joyce Walls Daughrity, age 84, of Chapel Hill, TN, died Sunday, November 6, 2022 at her residence.  She was born in Pikeville, TN, and was a daughter of the late Homer Byron Boyd and Heddie Allison Boyd.  Mrs. Betty was a homemaker and a member of the Chapel Hill Church of Christ.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Nolan Walls, 5 brothers, Leonds Boyd, Harold Boyd, Homer Boyd, David Boyd, Johnny Boyd, and 2 sisters, Margaret Murry, and Mildred Cloninger.

Mrs. Betty loved her outings with her group, The YAHYA Girls.  She loved to cook and decorate.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family and spoiling them.

Mrs. Daughrity is survived by her loving  husband of 18 years, Philip Daughrity of Chapel Hill, TN; children, Lisa (Darell) Hartley of the Pottsville Community, Lori (Tim) Lovins of Lewisburg, TN, Eddie (Angie) Walls of Murfreesboro, TN, Stephen Walls of Christiana, TN, Tony (Phyllis) Daughrity of Chapel Hill, TN, Randy (Renee) Daughrity of Chapel Hill, TN; 12 grandchildren, Danette Newcomb, Jon Paul (Shelly) Newcomb, Lauren & Gunner Lovins, Allison (Eric) Marquez, Ashley (Richard) Crowe, Alex (Craig) McPherson, Gage Walls, Amanda (Daniel) Milliken, Ryan (Bailey) Daughrity, Dillon & Bo Daughrity; 13 great grandchildren, Hayden (Chelsea) Cook, Kaley Grace Newcomb, Jacob Newcomb, Aubrey Newcomb, Jaylee Marquez, Zander Marquez, Kelton Grubbs, Camden Crowe, Layla McPherson, Carson McPherson, Hazley McPherson, Owen Milliken, Addie Milliken; 1 great great grandchild, Ellison Cook; sister, Delores Smith of Winchester, TN.

Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 2:30 PM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with J. D. Schwartz, Stan Butt, and Isaac Bourne officiating.  Interment will follow at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN.

Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers- Gunner Lovins, Gage Walls, Kelton Grubbs, Ryan Daughrity, Dillon Daughrity, and Bo Daughrity.

Honorary pallbearers are the YAHYA Girls, Judy Daughrity, Linda Jones, Linda Weathers, Donna Bunty, and Susan Brooks.
