Brenda Kay Lamb, age 64, of the Holts Corner Community of Marshall County, died Saturday morning, February 15, 2020 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Brenda was born in Holts Corner and was a daughter of the late John William Leslie and Ola Mae Kelley Lamb. She retired after 14 years as a special education teacher at Forrest School in Chapel Hill. After retirement, she became a home maker and was the videographer for Lawrence Funeral Home for many years. Miss Lamb was a member of Rover Baptist Church and a member of the Marshall County Retired Teachers Association. In addition to her parents, Brenda was also preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Ketchum, a brother, Jimmy Dale Kelley, and a nephew, Jamie Kelley.
Brenda is survived by her sisters, Ruby (Albert) Crane, Holts Corner Comm., Linda (Gerald) Gordon, Lewisburg, TN; nieces, Lisa Ketchum, Chapel Hill, TN, Kellie (Jay) Newsom, Chapel Hill, TN, Tammy Lynn (Jerry) Doggett, Chapel Hill, TN; nephews, Ray (Jaclyn) Crane, Lawrenceburg, TN, Jimmy Wayne Kelley, Holts Corner Comm.; brother-in-law, Larry Ketchum, Chapel Hill, TN; several great nieces and nephews.
Family members will receive friends on Monday, February 17, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 11:00 am from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Grooms officiating. Burial will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
Taylor Yeager, Jerry Yeager, Jr., Albert Crane, Jay Newsom, Ray Crane and Jimmy Wayne Kelley will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Ketchum, Aaron Reid, Mike Waggoner and James Troup. .
