Cathy Davis

Mrs. Cathy Giles Davis, age 68, formerly of Cornersville, TN, died on Tuesday, March 30, 2021.  She was a native of Marshall County, TN and was a daughter of the late Kitt and Eddie Lou McElhaney Giles. Cathy was a member of the Church of Christ and was retired after many years of working with Teledyne and Cosmolab in Lewisburg, TN. Cathy was a member of the graduating Class of 1970 from Cornersville High School.

Mrs. Cathy enjoyed writing poetry for family and friends, spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchild, laughing in life, reading books and she was a great cook!  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Giles and Wayne Giles, and sisters, Richie Jett and Betty Lou Tapley.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Johnny Davis of Lewisburg, TN; children, Jennifer Cook of Lynchburg, TN, Elizabeth Hill of Christiana, TN; 2 grandchildren, Kaylee (Allen ) Richards and Kitt Cook; 1 great grandchild, Kinslee Richards; sisters, Dorothy Beasley of Unionville, TN, Hazel Harmon of Cornersville, TN; brother, Ernest “Bud” (Betty) Giles of Manchester, TN.

Visitation with family and friends will be on Friday, April 2, 2021 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be conducted at 10 AM on Saturday, April 3, 2021 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery in Lewisburg, TN.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
