David Sparks

Mr. David Glenn Sparks, age 60, of Shelbyville, TN, died Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Born in Peru, IN, David was the son of the late Herman Ray Sparks and Naomi Blanche Barrett Sparks. He was an employee of Marelli North America, Inc. in Shelbyville, TN and was serving as the Pastor at First Church of God in Shelbyville.

Survived by his wife of 33 years, Carrie Sparks of Shelbyville; 3 daughters, Tiffany (Glen) Slone of Berea, KY, Ceara (Kevin) Hudgens of Murfreesboro, TN and Aleisha Sparks of Shelbyville; 2 sons, Cody (Mary Chavez) Sparks of Winchester, KY and Nathan Sparks of Lewisburg, TN; 3 sisters, Irene Brock of Chapel Hill, Debra (Eddie) Phelps of Morgantown, KY and Donna (Tim) Golden of Chapel Hill, TN; 10 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4pm-8pm, Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 11am from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Steven Davenport officiating. Burial will follow at Swanson Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Glen Slone, Kevin Hudgens, Eddie Phelps, Kevin Golden, Peyton Hastings and Kutler Hastings.
