Ellie Wilkinson

Mrs. Ellie Lou Wilkinson left us on Friday, April 15th, 2022 from her home in Eagleville, Tennessee. She was born in Eagleville on December 1st, 1940 - the daughter of the late Norman “Mutt” and Louise Bennett Scott.  Ellie was also preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy "Shack" Scott

Ellie served the community of Eagleville as an employee of the United States Postal Service for 37 years. When she retired she was serving as the areas Postmaster General. She and her husband Jimmy owned and operated a grocery store in Chapel Hill, Tennessee for 20 years.

Ellie is survived by her husband of 63 years Jimmy, son Ricky, plus her black Labrador and loving furry companion Bailey.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 19th, 2022 at Pressgrove Cemetery (1585 Unionville-Deason Road in Shelbyville, Tennessee) with  Jim Lawyer officiating. Pallbearers will be Bobby Turner, Tanner Crutcher, Tommy Howell, Ron Patterson, Tommy Harber and Dwight King.
