Frances Ann Morgan

Mrs. Frances Ann Morgan, age 86, of College Grove, Tennessee, died Sunday morning, March 8, 2020 in Franklin, Tennessee. Mrs. Morgan was born in the Flat Creek Community of Williamson County and was a daughter of the late Clarence Christian and Ethel Mai Potts Graham. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Franklin Morgan, who died in 2015.

Mrs. Morgan was a homemaker, former teacher’s aide at College Grove School and retired after over 25 years of services as a postal clerk for the United States Postal Service having worked at both the Franklin and College Grove Post Offices. She was a long time member of the College Grove United Methodist Church and was very active in the many different church groups and organizations. Frances Ann was also an active member of the College Grove Senior Citizens Center and loved being involved in activities in College Grove.

Mrs. Morgan is survived by her daughter, Connie (Greg) Gunnells, Franklin, TN; her son, Kent Morgan, Brentwood, TN; grandchildren, Jarratt (Lindsey) Gunnells and Clint (Amanda) Gunnells; great grandchildren, Japeth Gunnells, Isaac Gunnells, Lilly Gunnells, Ethan Gunnells, Candence Turner, Aynslee Gunnells, Payton Gunnells, Shealynn Gunnells.

Family members will receive friends on Monday, March 9, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Visitation will also be on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 4:00 p.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Beaty and Rev. Pam Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.

Graham Johnson, Jarratt Gunnells, Clint Gunnells, Embree Blackwell, Jeddy Wilson, Jim Wilson and Lynn Frye will serve as active pallbearers. Patsy Sams, Pat Bruce, Becky Meredith, Suzy Cartwright, Diane King, Jackie Hardison, Dot Barnes, Vera Jean Blair, Mary Ann Smith, Beverly Collins, Bobbi Tackett, Donna Ghee, Claudia Flippen and Shirley Lowe will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Memorial donations, in memory of Frances Ann Morgan, may be made to the American Diabetes Association, the Alzheimer’s Association or the College Grove United Methodist Church, College Grove, TN.
