Garry Hobart Tucker

Mr. Garry Hobart Tucker, age 71, of Unionville, TN, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 19, 2020.  He was a son of the late JC and Mary Harvey Tucker Johnson.  Garry was an active member of the Rocky Glade Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  He proudly served the United States Navy for 25 years and then retired from Chubb Insurance as a state boiler inspector.  Garry was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to many.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Sanocki Tucker.

Garry is survived by his wife, Barbara Elaine Turner Shapcott Tucker; son, Bobby “Bob” Tucker of Franklin, TN; daughters, Vicki Tucker of Lewisburg, TN, Susan Tucker of Somerville, SC, Debbie (Jim) Chasteen of Arizona, Chrissy Tucker of Lewisburg, TN; step children, John (Ashlee) Shapcott of Eagleville, TN, Katie (Chris) Smith of Lewisburg, TN; grandchildren, Nathan Garner of SC, Karson (Eric) Semler of SC, Jackie Butcher of SC, Alexander Joseph Garner of WI, Caitlyn Shapcott of Ft. Dodge, IO, Will and Lilly Shapcott of Eagleville, TN, Stella Grace, Tessa Kate, and Jameson Smith of Lewisburg, TN, 1 great granddaughter, Charlotte Wardell of Ft. Dodge IO; sister, Jaylene Tucker Hughes of Clarksville, TN; twin brother, Larry Tucker of Nashville, brothers, Ronnie Tucker of Nashville, TN, Jim Tucker of Nashville, TN, Tom (Melissa) Tucker of Greenbrier, TN, Danny (Cher) Tucker of Mt. Juliet, TN.

Due to COVID guidelines, a private graveside service with masks will be held at Rocky Glade Cemetery in Eagleville, TN.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
