Mr. Harry Spotts, Jr., age 81, of Shelbyville, Tennessee, formerly of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, died Sunday, June 6, 2021 in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Mr. Spotts was born in Tyler, Texas and was a son of the late Janet Lucy Lidelle Spotts and Harry Thornton Spotts, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Janet Stephenson.

During his life he coached many youth sports in both Nashville and Nolensville, Tennessee and he, along with his father, trained coon and bird dogs. Harry was also a well known horse trainer and retired after 39 years of training and showing American Saddle Breed Horses. Presently, he was employed as a sales representative for Alternative Energy Sales. He was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Spotts is survived by his wife of 10 years, Shirley Spotts, Shelbyville, TN; son, Harry (Kimberly) Spotts, III, Haughton, LA; daughter, Elizabeth Lidelle Myer Roberts, Atlanta, GA; brother, Nelson (Barbara) Spotts, Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Fletcher and Ethan Spotts.

Family members will receive friends on Friday, July 9, 2021 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Friday from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Swanson Cemetery with burial to immediately follow.
