Jean Chrisman

September 22, 1948 ~ January 10, 2021 (age 72)


Mrs. Lucy Jean Chrisman, age 72, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, died Sunday, January 10, 2021 in Franklin, Tennessee.

Mrs. Chrisman was born in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late George Raymond and Alma Estelle McDowell Pate. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry Chrisman, who died in 1995, and partner-in-life, Chris Gilbert, who died in 2021. Jean was a graduate of Eagleville High School, Class of 1966 and a member of the Church of Christ. She was employed with First State Bank of Chapel Hill and had recently completed 51 years of continuous employment. She was also an honorary member of the Chapel Hill Lions Club.

Mrs. Chrisman is survived by her children, Tammi (Doug) Pruitt, Chapel Hill, TN, Neal Chrisman, Chapel Hill, TN; grandchildren, Paten (Ashton) Pruitt, Chapel Hill, TN, Lucas Pruitt (McKinsey Marlin), Chapel Hill, TN, Skyler Chrisman, Rockvale, TN, Jesse Pruitt (Ryleigh Cobb) Chapel Hill, TN, Carley Chrisman, Rockvale, TN; great granddaughter, Nora Pruitt, Chapel Hill, TN; several cousins and untold amount of friends.

Due to the present Health Crisis, there will be no public visitation or funeral services at this time. Private family graveside services will be held with burial in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.

Neal Chrisman, Paten Pruitt, Lucas Pruitt, Skyler Chrisman, Jesse Pruitt and Jonathan Gilbert will serve as active pallbearers. Phillip Copeland and members of the Chapel Hill Lions Club Tractor Pull Committee will serve as honorary pallbearers.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the youth program at Chapel Hill Church of Christ, 4483 Nashville Hwy., Chapel Hill, TN  37034 or Eagleville High School Choir program, c/o Eagleville High School, 500 Old Hwy. 99, Eagleville, TN  37060.
