John Brown

Mr. John D. Brown, age 51, of Lewisburg, TN, died Wednesday, December 2, 2020 in Nashville, TN. He was born in Florence, Alabama and was a graduate of the Marshall County High School Class of 1987. John worked as an installation technician for Kitt’s Service Company of Chapel Hill for many years.

Mr. Brown served his country in the United States Navy, where he worked as an airplane mechanic on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. John F. Kennedy. John was a member of the Farmington United Methodist Church, and was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was also instrumental in bringing disc golf to Marshall County. John is preceded in death by his mother, Martha Frances Brown and a brother, Gregory Brown.

Mr. Brown is survived by his daughter, Martha Katelin (Jesse) Smith of Knoxville, TN; father, John E. Brown of Lewisburg, TN; brother, Roger (Christi) Brown of Lewisburg, TN; sister, Laurie (Gilbert) Velazquez of Orlando, FL; niece, Mallory Brown; nephews, Bryce Brown and Christopher Montoya.

Visitation for Mr. Brown will be held Saturday, December 5, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Graveside Services, with military honors, will be held Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. at Middleview Cemetery with burial to follow.
