Obituary

Mr. John Pugh, age 84, of the Rover Community of Bedford County, died Tuesday evening, February 22, 2022 in Shelbyville, Tennessee.

Mr. Pugh was born in Williamson County and was a son of the late Charlie G. and Nama Robertson Pugh. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Stella Bucey Pugh, who died in 2009, and several brothers and sisters. He was a retired factory worker and truck driver and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Pugh is survived by his step-daughter, Lisa Louise Mankin, LaVergne, TN; step-sons, Steve Everette Mankin, Murfreesboro, TN, Kenneth Wayne Mankin, Rover Comm.; step-grandchildren, Zachery Lance Mankin, Jessica Mankin, and Nevaeh Mejia.

Visitation with family members will be on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Sunday, February 27, 2022 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Pamela Lawes officiating. Burial will follow in Cothran Cemetery near Rover.

Jonathan Martinson, Lil Bit Owens, Mark Vaughn, Joe Bennett, Ernest Pruitt, Jr., Patrick Hix and Archie Anderson will serve as pallbearers.
