Maggie B. Dalton

Mrs. Maggie B. Dalton, age 84, of Shelbyville, Tennessee, died Sunday, August 15, 2021 in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Mrs. Dalton was a daughter of the late Elmer and Pearl Nobles Brown. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry M. Dalton, and sisters, Judy Brown Grogan, Evelyn Brown Gregory and Peggy Jo Spence.

Mrs. Dalton was a member and former Sunday School Teacher at Faith Baptist Church in Shelbyville and was a member of the Gideon’s Women’s Auxiliary. She was a homemaker and had retired as a bookkeeper for Palmer Foods in Shelbyville.

Mrs. Dalton is survived by her husband of almost 65 years, James “Mickey” Dalton, Shelbyville, TN; sons, Larry (Jeannine) Dalton, Murfreesboro, TN, Robbie (Diana) Dalton, Wartrace, TN; sisters, Helen Benson, Mildred Reed, Margaret (Wayne) Clanton, Carolyn (Clarence) Prater, Brenda (Wayne) Roddy, Jane (Larry) Rollins, all of Shelbyville, TN; brothers, Lawrence (Jean) Brown, Raymond (Mildred) Brown, Ricky (Pam) Brown, all of Shelbyville, TN; grandchildren, Tanner J. Dalton, Ashley Dalton Bobo, Jessica Dalton Vincent, Emily Dalton Garrison, Anna Claire Dalton, Justin West, Kristi Hall, Mitch Hall, Madison Hall; great grandchildren, Colt Vincent, Easton Vincent, Knox Vincent, Maleah Bobo, Cooper Bobo, Ella Garrison, River West, Evan Staples.

Family members will receive friends on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 from 11:00 am until 1:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church, Shelbyville, TN. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Church with Rev. Isaac McDuffie officiating. Burial will follow in Elliott Cemetery near Chapel Hill.

Tanner J. Dalton, Josh Bobo, Jonathan Vincent, Tanner Garrison, Justin West and Evan Staples will serve as pallbearers.
