Margaret Allison Kelley King

Eagleville, TN

Mrs. Margaret Allison Kelley King, age 87, of Eagleville, TN passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022 in Eagleville.  She was the daughter of the late William Clemons Kelley and Mary Louise Taylor Kelley.  Mrs. King was a homemaker, a member of the Class of 1953 from Eagleville High School, and a member of Veterans Parkway Church of Christ.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years, Joseph “Joe” Bryan King, a son, Jock “Orly” King, brothers, Billy, David, Benjamin, and Bobby Kelley.

Mrs. Margaret loved to cook and was well known for her pimento cheese, cinnamon rolls and jams.  She took great joy in sharing her special gifts with others.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family!

Mrs. King is survived by her children, Brad (Renee) King of Eagleville, TN, Jeff King of Rockvale, TN, Brook King (Kathy Edwards) of Smyrna, TN, Alisa (Joe) Jack of Eagleville, TN; 10 grandchildren, Joseph (Jessica) King, Benjamin (Victoria) King, Jonathan King, Rebecca (Bill) Rowland, Sarah (Jimmy) Bratcher, Nathan King, Bradley Edwards (Sarah Denton), Jesse Allen-King, Alaina Jack, Allison Jack; 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Leslie (Judy) Kelley of Eagleville, TN, and George Kelley of Smyrna, TN.

Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Lawrence Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Slayton officiating.  Interment will follow in the King-Cook Cemetery near Eagleville, TN.

Mrs. King's sons and grandsons will serve as active pallbearers.  Steve Rigsby will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
