Mark Deason

Mr. Mark Deason, age 47, died Saturday, August 29, 2020 at his home in Chapel Hill following an extended illness. He was born in Los Angeles, California and was a graduate of Forrest High School Class of 1992. Mark was employed as a sales representative for Irving Materials, Inc. of Nashville and was a member of Cross Keys Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, John Lee Deason.

Mark is survived by his wife of 15 years, Peggy Deason, Chapel Hill, TN; children, Erik Merchant, Murfreesboro, TN, Kelsey Deason, Knoxville, TN, Dustin Deason, Lewisburg, TN, Brian Newcomb, Chapel Hill, TN, Brandon Newcomb, Columbia, TN, Brent Newcomb, Chapel Hill, TN; mother and step-father, Judy Deason Haley and Fred Haley, Holts Corner Comm.; brothers, Jerry Lee Deason, Unionville, TN, David Allen Deason, Bethesda Comm., Joe Luffman, Culleoka, TN; grandchildren, Greyson Newcomb, Gunner Newcomb, Laken Newcomb, Malachi Colman, Arianna Colman, Blaze Newcomb, Jenna Newcomb.

Family members will receive friends on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Ryan Austin officiating. Burial will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.

Mike Brewer, Charles Dunn, David Cherry, Chris Hawkins, Anthony Bowlin, Joe Luffman, David Pitt, and Mike Jones will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Smithson, Terry Deason, Bobby Randolph, Buster Robinson, Richard Bowlin, Jackie Beavers, Jerry Harris, and Tony Harris.
