Obituary

Mrs. Mary Bolden, age 75, of Murfreesboro, TN, died on Thursday, March 25th, 2021 at her residence.  She was born in Rockford, IL and was a daughter of the late Claud Sylvester Smith and Margaret Alberta Johnson Lutz. Mary was a member of the Holt’s Corner Baptist Church. Mrs. Bolden worked for many years for the Kroger Company, Legends Restaurant, and Metal Sales.

Mrs. Mary enjoyed dancing, crocheting, gardening, watching hummingbirds, and especially caring for animals. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bolden was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Bolden, a sister, Ruth Doggett, children, Tina Whitaker and Kevin Bolden, and a grandson, Joseph Swanson.

Mrs. Bolden is survived by her children, David (Lynn) Swanson of Leaf River, IL, Vickie (Jon) Kasten of German Valley, IL, Kimberly (Kenneth) Conkey of Roscoe, IL, Paul (Pam) Jarrell of Chapel Hill, TN, Jason (Rhonda) Bolden of Murfreesboro, TN, Jesse (Wilma) Bolden of Mobile, AL, Steve (Renea) Bolden of LaVergne, TN, Pam (Donald) Farmer of LaVergne, TN; brother, Faye (Judy) Smith of Loves Park, IL; 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family and friends will be on Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 10 AM until 12 Noon at Lawrence Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be conducted at 12 Noon on Saturday, March 27, 2021 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Chatman officiating. Interment will follow in Simpson Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County, TN.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
