Melba Chunn

Mrs. Melba Chunn, age 81, of the Halls Mill Community of Bedford County, died Friday evening, July 30, 2021.

Mrs. Chunn was a daughter of the late Willis Williams and Sarah Lucy Batten and was preceded in death by her husband, Audilee Chunn, who died in 2012. She was a homemaker and had retired from Sanford Corporation of Lewisburg after many years of service. Mrs. Chunn was a long time member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church and loved attending the Bedford County Senior Citizens Center.

She is survived by her daughters, Denise (Mike) Boyce, Halls Mill Community, Janell Williams, Wheel Community; brothers, Jim (Pat) Williams, Iowa, Tom Williams, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Leann (Eric) Crump, Rachel (Chris) Prince, Jim Williams; eleven great grandchildren, Micah, Iseah, Toby, Silas, Lydia, Elizabeth, Gracie, Jeremiah, Ryan, Benjamin, and Layla.

Graveside services for Mrs. Chunn will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Hopper Cemetery in the Laws Hill Community of Marshall County with Eric Crump officiating.

Micah Crump, Iseah Prince, Toby Crump, Silas Crump, Jim Williams and Mike Boyce will serve as pallbearers.
